Rebecca Holden & Abraham McDonald – Music Sensations

From Times Square Gossip and Music Industry News Network about Dreams Come True:

Who would have ever thought that with Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” stealing all the music headlines, a magnificent Love Duet based on Pachelbel’s Canon, up-dated with new lyrics and performed by actress/singer Rebecca Holden (co-star of TV’s ‘Knight Rider) joined by 6’8 foot Abraham McDonald (winner on the Oprah Winfrey American Singing Competition) would be the new sensation resonating with people around the world?

Well it is! “Dreams Come True” joins an impressive list of other “adds” this week, including releases by such artists as Rod Stewart, Katy Perry, Elton John, Maroon 5, and John Legend.

Meticulously crafted and produced by Grammy-award winners Joel Diamond and Rudy Perez, the song already has had well over 7 million YouTube views, even before it was released this week on Silver Blue/Summit Records.

“Dreams Come True” is currently the “#1 Most Requested & Most Popular Wedding Song in the World”– out of over one million songs. There are also over 4,000 personal videos from people using “Dreams Come true” for hope, love, and inspiration.

Rebecca and Abraham’s recording have already amassed an organically-created fan base consisting of over 25,000 names and addresses from UK, Italy, France, Germany, China, Japan, Sweden, Brazil, Spain, Indonesia, Malaysia, and others.

A Spanish lyric for “Dreams Come True” is being written by Rudy Perez, who currently has the #1 Latino album with Natalie Cole and who has also produced Spanish albums for Beyonce and Christina Aguilera. There are also two “Dreams Come True” Dance Mixes being simultaneously released, and a special and very unique rendition of “Oh, Holy Night” is currently being recorded for the Christmas Season by Rebecca and Abraham.

“Times Square Gossip” mentions “Dreams Come True”

“DREAMS COME TRUE” got mentioned today at Times Square Gossip which is edited by world famed celebrity photographer James Edstorm. Here’s what he had to say about it:

“Speaking of hot remixes, Mark Picchiotti has been tapped by Brad LeBeau for the Dance Re-mix of the Joel Diamond/Rudy Perez-produced “Dreams Come True,” as performed by Rebecca Holden and Abraham McDonald on Silver Blue/Summit Records. Picchiotti has been active in the dance music scene for over 20 years, establishing his reputation as a house, electronic and pop music DJ at Chicago clubs such as Shelter and Crobar. He’s remixed songs by such performers such as Madonna (“Bedtime Story”), t.A.T.u. (“All The Things She Said”), Paula Abdul (“My Love Is for Real”), LaTour (“People Are Still Having Sex”), Lisa Stansfield (“Never, Never Gonna Give You Up”), S Club 7 (“Two in a Million”) and more recently, Rihanna (“Rockstar 101”) and Princess X (“Gimme All (Ring My Bell)”), Enrique Iglesias (“Turn The Night Up”), Klyle Minogue, Daft Punk, Beyonce, among many others …”

Helen Reddy Concert

Attended Helen Reddy’s concert at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills and she entertained the extremely attentive crowd with her usual grace and charm!  She was such a HUGE star in the 70’s with such hits as “I Am Woman” and “You and Me Against the World”;  her voice  and musicality is still there in all its former force, even though she had not performed in 10 years.  The crowd was filled with her Los Angeles friends, (she now resides in Sidney, Australia), producers, songwriters  and other industry colleagues.  She even brought Alan O’Day up on stage to sing with her on the big hit he wrote for her, “Angie Baby”, which brought tremendous cheers from the audience.  Alan is so talented and had his own number one song, “Undercover Angel” in 1977.

Joe Wissert (Helen’s fomer producer as well producer of such monumental acts as Earth Wind and Fire, Boz Scaggs, Gordon Lightfoot and The Turtles) and Joel Diamond , who produced very Helen’s last album, were also there to support her and cheer her on.  It was great to see this legendary performer back on stage once again and we all enjoyed a magical night.
